Impact SolarWinds Orion Hack

Afgelopen weekend verschenen de eerste berichten van een hack bij SolarWinds. Erg vervelend en van wereldwijde impact. Voor zover wij nu zien lijken producten en platformen welke VTM gebruikt niet getroffen.

Net als vele andere leveranciers maakt ook VTM gebruik van een MSP variant van het SolarWinds beheer systeem. Tot onze opluchting kunnen wij melden dat de MSP variant welke wij gebruiken niet is getroffen. Dit is vanuit SolarWinds aan VTM bevestigd.

Uiteraard zeer vervelend, maar vooralsnog geen reden voor verdere zorg. Alles is voor nu up to date en veilig en op dit moment zien wij geen impact op onze SolarWinds MSP dienst, inclusief RMM en N-central. Uiteraard houden wij u zoveel mogelijk op de hoogte mocht er iets veranderen. Mocht u zelf vragen hebben, dan kunt u natuurlijk contact opnemen.

Last weekend the news reached us about serious security breaches at SolarWinds in the US. Very disturbing and of worldwide impact.

Just as many other suppliers VTM uses a MSP variant of the SolarWinds management system. To our relief we are happy to report that the MSP variant we are using has not been affected. This has been confirmed from SolarWinds to VTM.

Very annoying, of course, but no reason for further concern as yet. Everything is up to date and safe for now and at this time, we are not aware of any impact to our SolarWinds MSP products including RMM and N-central.
